Description

Miravalles Volcano and Miravalles National Parks is another attraction of Guanacaste. Its impressive height of over 2000 meters above sea level at its summit makes it possible for an evergreen forest to florish, full of flora and fauna. The contrast of climates and landscapes from the arid plains to the evergreen summit is fascinating.
The only volcanic eruption ever recorded in modern times occurred in 1946 and it was only a small eruption of gas, steam and some ash that did not cause major damage. Another of its attributes is that it looks like a guardian who watches from above over the arid plains of Guanacaste.
The Miravalles Volcano conserves primary rainforest. Upon arrival you will be taken on a horseback riding or tractor thrill ride towards the deep of the forest, where you will begin a hike through beautiful waterfalls and wild life. No other place you can witness the geological marvels of bubbling mud pots, bubbling water pools, fumaroles, and crystallized sulfur so close at the time you bathe in the therapeutic volcanic mud. Followed by a delicious typical lunch. To conclude you will enjoy 12 cables of canopy and air bridges in where you can behold the beauties of the environment.
